Relocalizations.net is an initiative conceived by Christopher Ryan [cv / bio] while trying to find a good portal on issues central to relocalization and transitioning to a more sustainable society. Many sites have good information on specific topics or for specific geographic areas but none provides a broad enough scope to be useful to a researcher on relocalization or consumer or practitioner interested in a wide variety of resources.
Many sites listed on these pages contain a wealth of information that we do not always repeat. For example, this site does not provide a detailed description of LEED programs because the U.S. Green Building Council does this very well. Yet we attempt to get you to each site of the highest relevance in each category and welcome your suggestions.
The site is maintained as a volunteer effort by Mr. Ryan during off-hours from regular compensatory labor and usually occurs between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 Midnight EST. Thus, if anything on this site proves useful to you, please consider a nominal (pocket change) donation through Pay Pal (see below) to keep the coffee brewing. Thanks.
